Opportunities in Diamonds
The untapped Latin American Diamond market is now making a challenge on the diamond markets of Dubai, China and India with Panama leading the way, this market is slowly rising with diamond dealers looking on. Good news is, a new project is bringing Bourse to Panama. According to the promoter, it will be the first of many in central and South America.
Erez Akerman, president of Panama Diamond Exchange sees tremendous opportunities in this region. He described the bourse building to go as high as 50 stories, housing 350 offices. The building is being built specifically around the needs of diamond exchange as it will host diamond, precious metal and jewelry businesses, educational courses and gemological labs.
In addition to this, the district’s main casino and hotel are being built right next to the building to ensure convenience and accessibility on the part of their tenants and visitors. With construction into its 6 month, the project will be ready for business in 2 years.
